We love to grill. In fact, summer is prime grilling time for us but Dewey has been known to don his parka in the winter to fire up the bbq. I must admit that I rarely grill since it is one of the few ways Dewey will actually cook. However, I had every intention of grilling tonight for this post. Well, best made plans. Then I had calls with our realtor, calls with our lawyer & a stop at the grocery store. Long story short….Dewey grilled for me. Regardless, it was pretty quick and easy because the steak marinated while I was at work.
When I joined the Grill to Thrill blog tour, I was given a copy of the Canadian Living Summer Entertaining magazine. It is FULL of great recipes for summer dinners & entertaining. I have many dogeared for the day that we actually have a house with more than the bare cooking essentials. Also in the magazine is a VH sauces spread complete with recipe ideas. Tonight I made the Tandoori Steak with Pineapple Salsa. It was supposed to be flank steak but my grocery store had NONE (worst store ever btw). I was a bit nervous because I was afraid it might be uber spicy but I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet and smokey flavor. We all enjoyed the meal though next time we will cook the steak a bit less (not the recipe’s fault…more the fault of the craptastic grill at our rental). I really enjoyed the Tandoori Sauce and will definitely use it again.
So…do you like to grill? If so, what is your favorite grilling recipe?
