Re-Launch of Kinder Surprise Canada – I’ve Been Chosen as a Kinder Mom!

by Merry on August 20, 2011

For the Canadians in the crowd….I bet you recognize the name Kinder. For me Kinder is synonymous with chocolate, toys and childhood. Evan has received a Kinder egg for just about every holiday since he was one (though the toys are only for kids 3 and over). He loves the chocolate and the toys that come in the Kinder eggs.

Though Kinder has been a household word in Canada for over 30 years, they are relaunching this year. The relaunch includes a new line of toys for 2012 including over 70 new toys. You can see all the fun, new toys here on their Facebook Page.  If you like their Facebook page, they will be giving away coupons for a free Kinder Surprise later this month.

Kinder decided to partner with a group of mom’s to spread the word about the relaunch of Kinder Surprise.  I was picked as one of those moms.  Over the next few months I will share the latest news about the relaunch so stay tuned.  I am getting the news as I go so even I don’t know what all is planned for the next few months but one thing I DO know…the chocolate and fun of Kinder Surprise will stay the same.

One of Kinder’s focuses for the Month of August is finding time to play every day.  Childhood goes by so fast and with our busy lives it’s just so easy to say “not now…maybe later” to our kids.  I know I am VERY guilty of this.  As a full time working mom, I am trying to pack 30 hours of stuff into a 24 hour day.  Lately, though, I’m trying to really be in the moment with Evan in the evenings when I get home.  His favorite activity lately is building obstacle courses with his toys in the living room.  Then he and I run through them (while making “pwew, pow, ping” noises) without touching the toys.  Yes it’s silly but it gives me a few minutes of exercise and brings a smile (an often a giggle) to his face.  Totally worth it!

So….how do you make time for play?

Disclosure: I’m part of the Kinder® Mom program and I receive compensation as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

We try to play every night after dinner. Rai. Or shine after dinner we go outside and play hide and seek or we play dark tag. Fun!

I responded to your comment & then disqus ate it…. I think this is an awesome tradition with your kids. It makes sure you play every night and gives everyone a bit of exercise before bed.

My kids just declared you the coolest mom ever! As for me, I need a bigger house to hold all the Kinder toys round here. LOL If they ever mate with the MacDonald’s toys…I’m in trouble!
Play time is Lego for the wee man, Barbie’s for my little girl…… and trying to keep the baby out of both.
