My name is Merry and here are a few things about me:
- My name is Merry because my birthday is 3 days before Christmas.
- I live in Calgary, AB, Canada though I am an American originally from Alabama.
- I work full time as a Sales person in the Oil & Gas industry
- I am Mom to Evan who is 3 1/2 and stepmom to Will (12) and Nicole (10)
- Cooking, reading, photography, crochet and sewing are all hobbies that I love & devote varying amounts of time doing. I find that blogging and twitter severely cut into my time to do ANY of them.
- Speaking of Twitter…..I am Merry120 there & I am officially addicted to Twitter.
- I try to publish at least one recipe per week on this blog. You can check out all my past recipes here.
- I am a contributing blogger at Eighty MPH Mom and Kids in Cowtown.
- I started a Meetup Group for bloggers in Calgary, AB which has been an awesome way to meet new people in the city where I live.
- My family’s favorite activity is camping. We LOVE it!
- I’m looking to work with family friendly companies for product reviews & giveaways. Contact Me!

It is a frozen wasteland this weekend. Not so cold but about 6″ + of snow on the ground and it’s still snowing.
Love the reason for your name. Do you miss living in the States? Hard to get back and see family? Blogging and Twitter have totally cut into my entire life! Trying to figure out how to fix that. How awesome that you’re one of the contributors at EMPH!

I don’t miss living in the states per se because it just feels like a different place not so much a different country as it would if a different language was spoken. I do miss the nice weather associated with living in the south. I would move back to Austin, TX (where I lived before moving here) in a minute. Loved it there!

Great family photo! We love camping too. Really would like to go more often, but something always comes up and gets in the way of things. Sigh!
We did take a big RV family trip almost across country last summer though! It was a TON of fun!
